Tina Llewellyn – Proprietor

Tina Llewellyn founded her business The Rolling Pin in 1978 and has now spent many successful years in catering and event organisation.

The Rolling Pin aims to produce the finest food with the best ingredients, sourced locally where possible. Tina is a hands-on owner operator and works with her team of administration and booking staff to ensure every detail is taken care of and nothing is overlooked.

Over the years Tina’s varied clientele has included most of Adelaide’s banks, legal practices and accounting firms as well as a long list of private clients. Well-known figures who have sampled Tina’s food include Rupert Murdoch, the Duchess of Kent, former Prime Minister John Howard, and Cher on her farewell tour of Australia.

The Rolling Pin has been an integral part of Adelaide life for many years, catering for movie launches, society weddings and corporate events of all kinds.

Tina has a large pool of staff comprised of a core of dedicated people, supplemented by university students and part-time working mothers who bring a range of skills to the business.

Many of Tina’s staff work in The Rolling Pin’s kitchens preparing food and then at events serving the same food, which gives them an understanding and overview of the whole process. Staff are expected to be able to turn their hand to whatever task presents itself.

The Rolling Pin has never advertised, but has built a solid reputation on word of mouth recommendations. Every successful function creates a new pool of admirers who continue to spread the word.
